Returns Policy

I want you to be happy with your order. If something’s not quite right, I’ll do my best to sort it.

 

1. Can I Return My Order?

You can return most items within 14 days of receiving them, as long as:

The item is unused, undamaged, and still in its original packaging

It wasn’t bought in a clearance or sale (unless it arrived faulty)

You’ve got proof of purchase (like your order number or confirmation email)

2. What Can’t Be Returned?

Some items can’t be returned unless they’re faulty or damaged:

Perishable goods (like live phytoplankton or other live items)

Custom-made or personalised items

Gift cards or vouchers

3. How to Start a Return

If you’d like to return something:

Email info@marine-spec.co.uk with your order number and reason for the return

I’ll get back to you with return instructions

Send the item back securely packaged to the return address provided

4. Return Shipping

If the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, I’ll cover the return postage

Otherwise, return shipping is your responsibility

It’s best to use a trackable method, just in case something goes missing — I can’t take responsibility for returns lost in transit

5. Refunds

Once I’ve received and inspected your return, I’ll let you know if the refund’s been approved.

If approved:

Refunds are usually issued within 7 working days to your original payment method

Partial refunds may apply if items are returned used or not in their original condition

Original shipping fees aren’t refundable unless I made a mistake with the order

6. Exchanges

If something’s arrived damaged or faulty and you’d prefer a replacement rather than a refund, just let me know — I’m happy to arrange an exchange where possible.

 

7. Items Arriving Damaged

If your item turns up damaged:

Please email info@marine-spec.co.uk within 48 hours of receiving it

Include a photo (or short video if easier) showing the issue

I’ll make it right — whether that’s a refund or a replacement, including covering return postage if needed

8. Refund Delays

If your refund hasn’t arrived when expected:

Check your payment method (some banks take a few days to process)

If you’re still unsure, just get in touch at info@marine-spec.co.uk and I’ll look into it for you
